[. the outside .]

before i went to take my research methods mid-term, i bought a tuna salad sandwich from Tastes! they have the BEST EGG SALAD SANDWICHES ON CAMPUS!!! i think i've been going to this store so often... (well, maybe not that often, just once a week ^-^) ...that the storekeeper recognizes me.
something different happened today at Tastes. i actually had a conversation with the lady who served me rather then just order my food, stand there in silence and watch her prepare it. it was a short but funny conversation. the lady was interested in how long i've been in Canada and asked about my background. at first she guessed that i was Japanese (wah??!!??!!) and then Korean (huh???) and finally she said Chinese (*phew*). it certainly amuses me whenever someone thinks that i'm something else other than Chinese.

but it occured to me that it's harder to be certain of a person's background now adays because we're all mixing up like salads! for example, last night at Yuk Yuk's... Russell Peters was getting to know his front row audience and found that this lady is half German and half Chinese, and that her sibling is like a quarter or half something else! i was astounded.
and with all the different skin colour out there... i think this theory i heard from someone might come true... that eventually, we'll all become brown

other than Tastes and Yuk Yuk's... it has been quite an eventful n uneventful week...

- serene n i were suppose to attend a workshop on "What kind of jobs you can find with a psychology degree?"... but due to the event coordinators being disorganized... they didn't anticipate that so many ppl would be interested in this workshop n pretty much screwed up over 30ppl's friday schedule. so not being able to get into the workshop, i ended up playing street fighter w/daniel & serene and tried to figure out stat questions *headache*. i'm sooo lost in stats!

- and wow, jess n i witnessed an avalanche this week. we walked outside of scott religious center, took approximately 15 steps... and suddenly niagara falls happened right before our eyes off the roof of SRC. it was pure randomness n craziness! i think we were both stunned in disbelief with our mouths halfway opened. things like that does't happen everyday! (okay, maybe it does in other places... but yah...)

- i hardly had any exercise this week except for pilates!

- my to-do-list just wouldn't decrease

- can life get any haRder?!?

- totally forgot! i also went to Winterlicious!!! $10 for lunch @ Cafe California!!! includes appetizer, main course n dessert! i had a grilled atlantic salmon...yummmmy =)
