every year, around this time, i ask the same question...
'why isn't there one official reading week for all Ontario universities?'
and every year i get an unsatisfied answer =(
York's (and ???) reading week --> Feb 12th -16th
Ryerson, UofT, McMaster, Queens and Humber's --> Feb 19th - 23rd
Western and Windsor's --> Feb 26th - Mar 2nd
the only practical answer i can find is about controlling potential chaos delivered by students.
it is better to spread the load of chaos over a month rather than have it uncontrolled within one week.
but if my theory is correct... i cannot understand how York students are that chaotic where their reading week is isolated from other university's reading week???
maybe it's not about controlling chaos. maybe York's calendar is just a little different from the others. maybe it's all random.
so i had my reading week last week. i was sick the entire time and didn't do too much except get rest and spend time w/my hunny. ^-^
my chance for creating chaos was restricted at home... but i guess i was quite successful at being destructive this break considering i got my parents sick . . .
thanks for getting me sick :p
