[. it's Christmas time .]

tonight, Dec. 18th, my church had our Christmas celebration. different fellowship groups and friends ranging from young to old, short to tall, English speaking or Cantonese/Mandarin speaking gathered to remember a little baby born in the most unexpected place and who became the world's most radical King. His name? --> Jesus! each fellowship prepared a performance in the form of either a song, skit, or video puppet show to remind ourselves why we have certain songs for Christmas (e.g. The Twelve Days of Christmas) or why we use certain decorations (e.g. Christmas trees) and the meaning of Christmas - which i really can't put into words when i come to think of it... but how i would describe it?... a time to slow down, reflect; a time to spend time w/others n celebrate, sharing what we have; a time to give, to say thank you, to show that you care n love through words and/or actions...

the best part of tonight for me... was that my perception of "perfect" was being modified... from what i thought as how the outcome had to match w/my expectations - to be 100% "how it should be" --> to let there be room for surprises
not one of the performances were 100% perfect in the sense that what was planned was exactly what happened. there were mistakes and unexpected things that occurred. and it was not a bad thing to have those unexpected little things because it made it that much more memorable and meaningful. it was good =) and created so much joy and laughter.
perhaps this could be one reason why it wasn't recorded that God saw things as "perfect" in the book of Genesis when He was creating the earth, instead He saw that it was good

hmmmm......okay, thoughts ends here for tonight... it's past 2am Sunday morning... zZzZzZzZzZzZz

p.s. i know, 2 post w/in a week!!! it's a BIG improvement =p
--> *surprise*
