[. "fun-gau", no? .]
one of those nights where i just couldn't fall asleep >.<
but got to do a bit of reading!
"We lead our lives like water flowing down a hill, going mere or less in one direction until we splash into something that forces us to find a new course."
"To become a geisha... well, that was hardly a purpose in life.
But to be a geisha... I could see it now as a stepping-stone to something else."
- both from Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur GOLDEN

btw, Happy (belated) Canada Day! =)
fireworks @ york region were awesome!

lessons of the day:
(1) never fully extend your arms at a crowded Chinese restaurant. like the side mirrors on a car, objects are usually closer than they appear
(2) never take off in your car unless you are 150% sure your back passenger is seated. even when you can see his/her head in the rear mirror, their feet can still be on the ground
